Not losing weight despite lots of exercise...


Although I've been doing this site now for over 4 weeks, last week I was ill so didn't record, but also didn't overeat, as was too ill to each, but I've also logged everything I eat, I've been exercising.

For the past 9 weeks I've been doing approx. 3 / 4 aerobics classes a week, plus everyday I walk for at least an hour with my dog (which I've always done) and I too have only lost 2lb. It's incredibly frustrating, I also have a holiday creeping up. I've got 13 weeks to go and desperately want to loose at least 1 stone, this to me should be achievable given my calorie reduction and exercise routine, but the weight isn't shifting and I actually feel stocky !!! I've also cut down on my alcohol hugely - help what is happening, why aren't I feeling / seeing the difference ?

I can understand how frustrating this must be for you, but if I read you right you have actually only been doing this for 4 weeks and lost 2 pounds in that time which isn't so bad as an average w eght loss. I'm also inclined to think, if you?re doing some resistance floor work in your aerobics classes, that you have probably gained muscle which will have seen you put on weight on the scales whilst shaping up and losing inches. You might want to throw something at me for saying it (!), but I think it might just be that you are being a little impatient and I?d like to maybe hear from you again in a couple of weeks to see if things are resolving themselves and the weight is now starting to come off more steadily? In short it seems you are doing nothing wrong and will get there in the end. I hope this is reassuring rather than irritating and I wish you every bit of good luck!
