How much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

I have lost 6st 5lbs89lbs40.4kg in total. I started my weight loss journey in February 2023 and I achieved my target weight in December 2023.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

I had a holiday booked with my sisters and my mum, but I didn't feel comfortable wearing a swimsuit and I wanted to feel my best. I've never been truly happy with my body and I thought this was the opportunity to do it. I joined Beeweighed in 2023 and it was the best thing I ever did.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

I heard about Nutracheck through Beeweighed as this is the calorie counting app that they recommend. Lynda did a lot of research to find the most effective app and she did a great job because it's so easy to use and self-explanatory.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

After having my children, my weight has stayed consistent. I have never dieted in my life, Beeweighed and Nutracheck have totally changed my perception of food and I'll never ever go back to the way I used to eat. I never thought of managing my weight until joining Beeweighed.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

It took me a week or so to get used to tracking my calories, but then it became part of my daily routine and much easier.

What was the most difficult thing about your weight-loss journey?

The most difficult thing for me was cutting my treats down. However, after seeing how many calories were in chocolate bars or sweets via the Nutracheck app, it totally changed my mindset to change unhealthy snacks for healthy ones. I do still have a treat each night after my tea but I'm definitely mindful as I wasn’t prior.

How do you feel now compared to before?

I feel like a totally different person, I have more energy and stamina I can run around with my young children, I'm less tired and overall I feel amazing!

Any notable milestones to report/non-scale victories?

My biggest non-scale victory has to be getting down to size 10 clothes. Never in my life have I been a size 10 and it's an amazing feeling to be able to go clothes shopping and buy the clothes that suit my figure now and also my age!

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. Always set an interim goal.
  2. If you have a bad day don't give up - it's a personal journey and having the willpower is tough but it’s not a race and you'll definitely get there in time.
  3. Still enjoy your treats, if you cut out all the things you like then you won't enjoy your journey and you're more likely to give up - remember you can have what you want just in moderation!
