How much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

I've lost 4st 9.6lbs 65.6lbs 29.7kg and it took me from January 2023 to January 2024.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

My decision to lose weight came when I reflected on how much I had let myself go and how unrecognisable I had become to myself. I realised it was time to get my mental and physical health in check.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

I heard about Nutracheck through word of mouth. I heard of another company for calorie counting, but I was advised that this app was better and easier to navigate.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

My weight has always fluctuated over the years, but I've consistently been overweight. I have tried slimming clubs with corporate companies before, and although I would lose weight, I could never maintain it once I stopped following the plan.

Have you experienced any health improvements?

I've experienced huge health improvements - my lower back pains are gone, and I no longer get sweat rashes. Additionally, I've noticed a huge mental shift in terms of my wellbeing, which has benefitted my life in so many ways.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

The changes I made have fit into my lifestyle incredibly well. I lead a very busy, on-the-go life, but even with the changes to my diet I can still do a quick food shop around socialising and enjoying life, I’m just far more mindful of my choices when I do go shopping.

What was the most difficult thing about your weight-loss journey?

The most difficult thing was getting into habits and routines after dealing with years of what slimming clubs tell you is right and wrong. It was difficult to shift my mindset and change my whole perspective on my lifestyle change.

How do you feel now compared to before?

I feel like a new person now! I feel so much more confident and capable. It makes me feel like anything is achievable. I never saw myself getting as far as I have in my journey, and I'm so proud of myself for being so consistent with it.

Any notable milestones to report?

My most notable milestones are that my mental health and confidence have soared. I have always been an extroverted character, but this has made me feel ten times better. I feel comfortable knowing that clothes will fit me when I go shopping. I also feel great that I can wear what I like and not constantly cover myself up. I wore a bikini for the first time ever!

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. Stay consistent.
  2. Enjoy the journey.
  3. Don't restrict your life.
