How much weight have you lost and how long did it take

Using Nutracheck I have lost a total 6st 2lbs86lbs39kg. I have gone from weighing 16st 4lbs103.4kg to 10st 2lbs142lbs64.4kg. In total it took me a year and 4 months. I used to be a size 22/24, now I'm a comfortable size 10/12.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

The main thing that made me decide was because I was struggling to find my clothes size in stores, I would forever go online to look for my size and end up sending lots back due to them not fitting. Also, I couldn't even walk up the stairs without getting out of breath! This is when I knew I had to do something, also I wanted to feel more comfortable and happier.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

I'm sure it was through Instagram. A lot of people losing weight were using the Nutracheck hashtag. After doing a lot of research I knew this would be the best thing for me to download and use.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

I've always been a 'big' girl. Since secondary school this is when I got bigger. I'd always snack a lot and have big portions of food. But now with Nutracheck I've been able to manage my weightloss and not get into bad habits.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

It was very easy. I can still go out with friends and family for meals and still fit it into my calorie allowance.

What was the most difficult thing?

The most difficult thing was changing my portion sizes. But with the app it's a real eye-opener to how many calories I was consuming before!

How do you feel now compared to before?

Before I felt very low and very self-conscious. Since losing weight I have gained so much more confidence and feel so much healthier, happier and fitter!

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. Don't cut anything out, you can still enjoy snacks and eating out while calorie counting
  2. Start with small swaps for example full fat coke to diet, swap sauces for reduced fat or reduced salt ones, also find lower calorie snacks
  3. Three, drink plenty of water. You'll be surprised how much it fills you up in-between meals!
