Body basics: how does your health measure up?

We should all aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise every week. 'Moderate intensity' is working at between 50% to 70% of your maximum heart rate. To work out your maximum heart rate (MHR), deduct your age from 220. To calculate your target heart rate (THR), multiply your MHR by 50% and 70%.

Nutritionist Emma White (ANutr), MSc Human Nutrition is passionate about how food science applies to the human body, and how the nutrients in what we eat affect us and ultimately have an impact on our health.
